Im going to be selfish and ask for stuff

It is in no way required that anyone actually send me stuff…but a lot of people have asked what i want/ need, so here it is. Its mostly books (no shocker).

Some tips for mailing me:

• Dont declare a value. If you say that the stuff inside is worth anything the post office wants me to pay them for the box. or it might get stolen.
• Write on the customs form that whats inside is DONATED
• If you go to a US Post Office, there is a flat rate box to SA, no matter how heavy. I think its something like US$17 or something similar. It might be the best value.

Here’s what ive come up with:

• Books

1. Looong. The longest book you can find on the shelf.
2. Historical nonfiction; Africa, colonialism, the english monarchy, the french monarchy, medical histories, etc
3. 19th Century classics. Dickens, Hugo, etc
4. Anything you can define as classic; Steinbeck, Poe…hell, send me greek mythology, I dont care.
5. I am suddenly interested in reading Dante’s “The Divine Comedy” due to a work of fiction that I recently read. Im a nerd…
6. A general field guide to plant and animal life here in SA. I dont need a game guide. I got the lions and the tigers and the bears down fine…but what the hell are these spiders in my house?! Will I die if that insect bites me? These are the answers I seek.
7. Anything by Allison Weir
8. Here is a link to my goodreads page, which lists even more random stuff

• Deliciously warm, wooly socks
• trail mix (nuts are really expensive here)
• Portillos (its worth a try)
• Funky/ cool/ unique maps

I can’t think of anything else right now, but Im sure more will come later.
