Sharon, I thought you were in Africa…How are you connecting to the internet so often?

Here is the beauty of doing Peace Corps in South Africa…I have daily access to the internet.

I purchased a phone that has internet capabilities. I can just go on from my phone and check my email and facebook etc. But i cant do things like update this blog from my phone. SO…I connect my phone to my computer using a USB cable. I wrote some code/ hounded some Linux pros in PC, and so now my laptop uses my phone as a modem.

The downside is that I have to pay per MB used. I purchased an internet usage bundle, which lasts a long time when just using gmail and facebook. But uploading and downloading things(i.e. pictures) is where it gets tricky. I definitely wont be visiting youtube in the next two years.

SO! This means that I have regular access to the internet!

I am looking forward to keeping in touch with all of you!!
